It is thought that over 45% of the population react adversely to foods that they eat. Whilst the effects may not be life threatening, resulting symptoms can have a massive impact on someone’s quality of work and home life.
If you suffer from any of the following symptoms:
aches and pains
chronic fatigue syndrome
irritable bowel syndrome
weight loss/weight gain
YOU MAY HAVE A FOOD INTOLERANCE
Symptoms of food intolerance can take up to 72 hours to appear after eating the trigger food or group of foods. On average people who suffer from food intolerances usually have around 4 or 5 trigger foods
Many people suffer for years, having formed a coping mechanism to deal with the symptoms but are unable to enjoy a normal work and home life.
At Breedon Priory Health Club we are able to offer a high quality Food Intolerance Testing service using Lorisian Laboratories. We have chosen to work with this company because of their 35 years’ experience in food intolerance testing, they work out of a certified and regulated laboratory using experienced staff and fully qualified nutritional therapists.
We offer three types of Food Intolerance Tests:
LORISIAN BRONZE FOOD INTOLERANCE TEST
LORISIAN SILVER FOOD INTOLERANCE TEST
LORISIAN GOLD FOOD INTOLERANCE TEST
To learn more about what each test involves and the food groups that they test again, please click on the test above.
The test is carried out using a finger prick blood test and this sample is then sent off to Lorisian Laboratories to be tested against the list of food groups that you choose. Once your results are returned you will receive a colour coded results sheet showing your level of reaction to each ingredient.
Indicates you have raised IgG antibody levels to these food(s) and you should try to eliminate them completely from your diet. You may benefit from removing all REACTION foods from your diet, for at least 3 to 12 months. These foods are shown in order of strength of the reaction.
Indicates you may have a borderline reaction to these foods and may or may not benefit by limiting their consumption.
These foods can be eaten without restriction, unless you already know that they cause you a reaction and you have been avoiding them, in which case you should continue to do so.
