We have been working extremely hard whilst we have been closed to ensure the Club is ready to welcome you back in the safest possible way.
If you’re planning a visit to the Club, please keep our COVID-19 member guidelines in mind:
Keeping You Safe
The safety of our team and members is always our number one priority, although things do look a little different at the Club, our focus to offer you the very best service hasn’t changed.
During the initial phase of our re-opening we have put in place the following key measures:
- The number of people within the Club and certain areas is now limited. You may only attend the Club if you have pre-booked your visit.
- Hygiene stations are located around the Club offering you hand sanitiser, tissues and antiviral disinfectant. We ask that you use these stations before, during and after your visit to help us all to stay safe.
- We use our antiviral disinfectant around the Club, focusing on high contact areas. This disinfectant kills viruses and sanitises the surfaces it is used on.
- Our cleaning schedule has been enhanced to maintain our high level of hygiene, focusing on high contact points in the Club.
- We have reduced the number of participants in our classes to ensure you have enough space to exercise in a safe environment.
- After every booking slot in each area, there is a 30 minute ‘clean down’ period where our team will sanitise and disinfect everything.
- We have created more space on the gym floor by overflowing our equipment into our class studio. This has enabled us to keep all of our equipment in use and at a safe distance apart.
- Outside we have installed a ‘Tipi’ where we are holding our classes. During summer months this will be used in a canopy style allowing fresh air to freely flow through the Tipi. During the cooler months sides, flooring and a heating system will be installed so that you are not only safe but comfortable too.
- When you arrive at the Club, a member of staff will take your temperature. If your temperature is above 37.8 degrees you will not be able to enter the Club.
How It Works
Our gym floor is now spread across three different areas, the lower gym, mezzanine level and the class studio. Throughout these areas we have increased the spacing between our equipment to allow for better social distancing.
By moving the equipment around and creating more space, we have managed to keep all of our equipment in use. On the mezzanine level we have removed any hard to clean items and streamlined the equipment on offer e.g. removed any fabric based equipment, to allow for thorough sanitisation and disinfection during clean down periods.
You will also notice a newly installed ‘PT Station’ located on the lower level gym floor. Here you will be able to easily access a member of the fitness team should you need any assistance.
Throughout the gym floor areas there are new hygiene stations offering hand sanitiser, tissues, antiviral disinfectant sprays and blue roll for your use.
Please note, no gym towels will be supplied and you are not permitted to bring your own onto the gym floor.
The number of people within our gym area will be controlled through our booking system. To book your session you need to download our member app ‘FitSense’. Our gym floor booking slots last for one hour, with a 30 minute ‘clean down’ period in-between each slot.
We have put measures in place to ensure your return to the water is as safe as possible.
Swimming Pool – Our swimming pool now has 3 designated lanes, these are marked out using lane ropes. There is a maximum of 3 people allowed in the swimming pool at any time, one per lane, allowing members to keep a safe distance between themselves and others. The sun loungers have had their fabric covers removed so that we are able to wipe down and disinfect them after use.
Sauna & Steam Room – Unfortunately the Government have asked us to keep these areas closed for the time being. We will inform you as soon as we are able to re-open these facilities.
Spa Bath – Our spa bath will re-open along with the swimming pool. There is a limit of one person using the spa bath at any one time or a maximum of two people at the same time if from the same household.
Family Swim – Currently we are not able to offer any family swim sessions. This will be reviewed when we move to phase two of our re-opening.

All of our members are required to arrive at the Club changed and ready to exercise or with swimming attire underneath their regular clothing.
Our changing rooms are for use of members who have booked a swimming session and we have designated changing areas for you to use.
Showers, lockers, hair dryers and hand dryers remain out of use for now, please leave all valuables in your car and take your car keys onto the pool side with you. By our sinks we have a supply of paper towels for you to dry your hands and wet kit bags for you to put your wet swimming clothing in.
Toilets will be in use. However, you are encouraged to use your own toilet prior to travelling to the Club.
Our timetable of fitness classes are back, bringing you your daily dose of holistic, indoor cycling, strength and conditioning, cardio and HIIT classes! Initially our timetable will be slightly reduced, running alongside our virtual timetable that will be released soon.
If you have struggled with self-motivation whilst we have been closed and need that extra encouragement provided by a group environment, our new timetable will help to get you back on track.
Our new timetable will start on Saturday 25th July, replacing our temporary outdoor timetable that is currently running. You will be able to book your classes 7 days in advance and cancel your booking up to 4 hours prior to the class starting. Due to restrictions in places available, if you do need to cancel your class, it is important that you do so via the app or call us to let us know.
As we are using our class studio as overflow gym floor space we have installed a ‘Tipi’ outside where we will be holding all of our classes. During the summer months this will be used in a canopy style allowing fresh air to flow freely through. During the cooler months we will install side panels, flooring and a heating system so that you are not only safe but comfortable too.
For indoor cycling we have spaced out the bikes, allowing enough room for adequate social distancing. For our initial phase of opening, we are running our classes virtually to reduce contact between you and our instructors. On the gym floor you will also find two bikes from the indoor cycling studio for your use.
If you haven’t done so already, download the ‘ICG Training’ App, which gives you a wide selection of workouts and drills to complete on the bike – providing a great low impact workout for all fitness levels.
All classes have a reduced capacity to allow for increased social distancing. We have also stepped up our cleaning regime to allow thorough disinfection in-between classes.
Our personal trainers are now back at the Club and offering socially distanced sessions.
Each personal trainer has completed COVID-19 training, has carried out their own risk assessment and put together their own COVID-19 policy.

Booking a Visit
To control numbers within the Club we now use a booking system. This allows you to book a visit to the gym, swimming pool, indoor cycling studio, or a class.
To book your slot please download our member app ‘FitSense’. All booking slots last for one hour, with a 30 minute ‘clean down’ period in-between each slot’.
You will be able to book a slot 7 days in advance and cancel a slot up to 4 hours before your booking.
There is also a ‘capacity’ indicator within the app, so that you can see how many people are at the Club during each slot.

Please note that all membership queries must be made in writing, via email or letter, in order for us to deal with them.
We will not be taking any membership queries at the Club as we are adhering to all social distancing rules and reducing contact between our members and staff team for the time being as required
