Personal Trainer & Fitness Instructor
Firstly, thank you for taking the time to check out my page, I hope this section helps you to get to know a little more about me.
I have been an enthusiastic medium and long–distance runner for the last 10 years; regularly taking part in events from 5k through to marathon distances. Through the disappointment and frustration of injuries getting in the way of training I discovered the benefits both in preventing injury and improving finishing times by cross training. Including weights and a variety of cardio workouts on a regular basis (often juggling with everything life throws at us!) and experiencing how this positively impacted all areas of my life started a passion for fitness.
With early experiences of sport at school being for the “cool gang”, I didn’t include exercise as part of a regular hobby until recently. Despite trying a new gym every couple of years (yes, often signing up to the New Year offer after promising to make the resolutions stick!) I often found the gym environment intimidating, either I didn’t feel I could approach the trainers, or I felt I wasn’t fit enough to be in a gym. It’s having overcome this that a passion to help others find their own routes to health and fitness that prompted a career change in 2016, I’ve been studying with Future Fit training ever since, achieving various qualifications to become a Personal Trainer and am continuing my education – there’s always more to learn!
I am to become the Personal Trainer I would have wanted to meet, to make fitness accessible no matter what my starting point was, make me feel like the most important person in the room and to have someone on my side to help me achieve my fitness goals.
Outside of work, I love food and is often trying new recipes that make healthy options tasty! I’m is also kept continually entertained by our Romanian rescue dog Mo; he’s a good excuse to get outside and enjoy the countryside and walk off the baking!
I love the odd challenge having climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and been part of the winning team to complete the 3 Peaks within 24 hours.
So now over to you, it would be great to hear from you if you are looking for training, have any questions about me or about any aspect of fitness and nutrition & weight management.
Have a great day!

Favourite Health Food
Vegetables, so versatile, never gets boring and transformational to our health.
Running is my go-to; just put on some trainers and whether it’s a slow trot or sprint session, it’s a great way to escape the day and enjoy the outdoors.
What do you enjoy most about being a Personal Trainer?
Changing people’s perceptions of themselves, seeing long held limiting beliefs in their abilities overcome, to achieve or surpass their goals makes me feel so lucky to do this job.
Top Health & Fitness Tip
Be consistent, start small with introducing change and look at investing in your health a lifestyle not a short-term transformation. What you do over months and years is far more impactful than the odd weekend blow out.

“Cannot fault Nicci as a personal trainer and would not hesitate to recommend her – indeed I have.” Jackie E
“The motivation gained from the sessions with Nicci was fantastic, she is really enthusiastic and loves what she does which kick started my interest back into exercise and seeing how much I enjoyed it again really helped. Nicci is really passionate and lovely to work with, really understands your fitness needs and tailors the plan to that but also extremely motivating in the right way.” NW
“I have been able to improve my movement and stretching which in turn has helped control the pain from Sciatica without having to resort to painkillers. I enjoy the progressive success of each exercise with regular repetition and moving towards the goals set.” Sheila F
“Thank you for the right balance of encouragement and pushing. Very motivational without being scary (!). Lovely personality – interested in my requirements, easy to chat to while training, fun, calm – easily adapted to blips in my training to readjust the schedule. It was great to learn techniques, for eg, for uphill running. Appreciated the cross-training activities and explanation of why they are beneficial, as well as the nutritional advice. I’m sure I wouldn’t have achieved my goal without Nicola – the combination of push, motivation, knowledge and feeling she was alongside me in achieving my goal was fantastic. It was especially lovely to get a text just prior to the event to encourage and motivate.” Jo P
“Nicci is excellent at understanding me as a person which has been key to keeping me on track with my programme. The problem I have is that I can be over enthusiastic and super keen when I exercise on my own and then I suddenly stop and make no further progress. Nicci has said things to me and given me an insight into my approach to exercise that has made me far more aware of working out in a way I have never observed before and it is this approach that will help me achieve long term permanent results rather than an all or nothing approach. I can also easily see how these traits that Nicci identifies in me also cross over into other areas of my life such as work and I have no doubt these insights will make me more productive, organized and calmer in the workplace too. She has managed this in a none threatening way, without me getting bored or losing interest. This is because not only is Nicci a great person to be around, motivating and funny but she is also open and down to earth, it is impossible to not get along with Nicci no matter what your physical ability or expectations.” Sam C
“Nicola treats me as an individual, adapting sessions as I progress or need recaps. She’s endlessly patient, with a nice dry sense of humour! “ Phil S
